Using snap counts of the first two Packers games (only taking into account of the first and second teams), I've been able to compile an unofficial depth chart for the Packers. Some of the chart is based on camp rumors (like Harris as the #1) and recent actions (like Starks listed fifth on the depth chart due to his 0 carries on the first or second team vs St. Louis).
OFFENSE (36-53)
QB:
Nothing new here. Rodgers is still the head man, and Harrell is producing just enough to hold back Vince Young and B.J. Coleman from taking his spot.
Aaron Rodgers 36-0
Graham Harrell 0-56
RB:
Harris is reportedly taking first team snaps, but has yet to play in a preseason game. Until then, it's safe to assume he's the number one, even if Lacy is producing well. James Starks, who started preseason Week 1, didn't get a single two-deep snap against St. Louis, and is reportedly the fifth running back in camp now. Alex Green, who saw very little time against Arizona, was the third runner off the bench against St. Louis.
DuJuan Harris (missed Week 1/2)
Eddie Lacy 19-0 (missed Week 1)
Johnathan Franklin 5-32
Alex Green 0-11
James Starks 11-10
FB:
Kuhn is still the man, but the lack of plays involving him worry me a bit. He might not be a lock to make the roster. Amosa is a textbook "camp body".
John Kuhn 2-4
Jonathan Amosa 0-1
WR:
With Nelson, Cobb, and two draft picks hurt, the receiving corp isn't what it was in 2012. McCarthy said both of the draft picks were behind, leading me to believe they won't be given the snaps over the UDFA's (Walker, White, and Gillett) until they earn them.
Jordy Nelson (missed Week 1/2)
James Jones 36-0
Randall Cobb (missed Week 1/2)
Jarrett Boykin 34-31
Jeremy Ross 25-30
Tyrone Walker 1-42
Myles White 0-25
Alex Gillett 0-13
TE:
This year's tight end corp showed promise. Finley was improving, Quarless joined back with the team after a long injury, but the injuries have hit them again. Quarless and Taylor both sustained injuries before the preseason started, but D.J. Williams isn't looking bad. Mulligan is a blocking tight end, and Bostick is Graham Harrell's go to man on the second team.
Jermichael Finley 31-0
Andrew Quarless (missed Week 1/2)
D.J. Williams 12-8
Ryan Taylor (missed Week 1/2)
Matthew Mulligan 3-12
Brandon Bostick 0-21
LT:
Unfortunately, two first round potential left tackles are hurt in Green Bay. Rookie David Bakhtiari stole the starting job from Newhouse, who took over the spot during Family Night. Since then, Bakhtiari has taken most of the first and second team snaps.
Bryan Bulaga (missed Week 1/2)
David Bakhtiari 36-44
Derek Sherrod (missed Week 1/2)
Marshall Newhouse 0-9
LG:
There's not much news here. Lewis wasn't really considered a guard prospect as he's a shorter, center-type offensive lineman. I don't think he makes the roster.
Josh Sitton 36-0
Patrick Lewis 0-53
C:
With the loss of Tretter early in camp and Barclay playing a lot of right tackle snaps, the center depth is thin. Greg Van Roten, a guard in 2012, is trying to make the transition, though.
Evan Dietrich-Smith 36-0
J.C. Tretter (missed Week 1/2)
Don Barclay 0-48
Greg Van Roten 0-5
RG:
Andrew Datko was taking a lot of snaps at guard, even before Family Night, but sustained an injury that lead Taylor to steal his spot on the two-deep. He was listed as an active last week, but didn't see any time over the UDFA.
T.J. Lang 36-0
Lane Taylor 0-53
RT:
The biggest battle left in camp has Barclay taking a small lead. This is beneficial to left tackle depth (as Newhouse is the last healthy lineman who can play left tackle), but hurts the center depth on the roster, as I explained earlier.
Don Barclay 20-27
Marshall Newhouse 16-26
DEFENSE (16-21)
DE:
There's a lot of average talent in this corp. I honestly think all nine of these players will have a future in the NFL, but with Green Bay playing only two defensive lineman a majority of the time, I highly doubt they take in all of them. Raji's seeing more defensive end time than nose tackle time, which means Pickett is seeing a majority of the nose tackle snaps on the first team. Datone Jones, the 2013 first round pick, was hurt during his one and only snap against Arizona. There's speculation that he'll play against Seattle. Mike Daniels is rising, even passing Mike Neal, who's back from injury, in snap counts on the first and second teams. Jolly looks like he's going to be a player, while Josh Boyd, a 2013 draft pick, didn't get in the two-deep against St. Louis. Jerel Worthy, the 2012 second round pick, is likely to start on PUP or go straight to IR.
B.J Raji 18-5
C.J. Wilson 13-27
Ryan Pickett 10-3
Datone Jones 1-0 (missed Week 2)
Mike Daniels 10-21
Mike Neal 2-12 (missed Week 1)
Jerel Worthy (missed Week 1/2)
Johnny Jolly 0-21
Josh Boyd 0-5
NT:
There's not much new here beside Miller getting fewer snaps against St. Louis than he did against Arizona. Again, Pickett getting double the nose tackle snaps Raji has is interesting.
Ryan Pickett 7-1
B.J. Raji 3-0
Jordan Miller 0-16
OLB:
Undrafted free agent Andy Mulumba is making an early impact, even passing a 2013 draft pick (Nate Palmer) on the depth chart.
Clay Matthews 26-0
Nick Perry 26-3
Dezman Moses 0-43
Andy Mulumba 0-33
ILB:
Jones is making an impact on the team during passing downs. Unlike Hawk, the team is trying to get as many reps for him as possible on passing downs, even if they have to throw him on the second team for a while. Francoise and Lattimore have been the reserve linebackers (and special team studs) for the past couple seasons, but now they're on the two-deep, beating out 2012 (Manning) and 2013 (Barrington) selections.
Brad Jones 26-14
A.J. Hawk 20-7
Robert Francois 0-31
Jamari Lattimore 0-25
CB:
Even without two of their three "starters", the Packers corner back corp is looking good. While House had a bit of a rough first game, Hyde has been making plays all over the field.
Tramon Williams (missed Week 1/2)
Sam Shields 25-0
Casey Hayward (missed Week 1/2)
Micah Hyde 20-36
Davon House 18-28
James Nixon 0-32
Loyce Means 0-12
Jarrett Bush 1-3
S:
The spot across from Burnett was open to start this preseason, but McMillian has taken a pretty solid lead, judging by last week's snap count. Powell saw one snap with the second team last week, but Fulton, who didn't see time on the two-deep vs Arizona, has seemed to have replaced him.
Morgan Burnett 26-0
Jerron McMillian 21-33
M.D. Jennings 12-33
Chris Banjo 0-18
David Fulton 0-9
Chaz Powell 0-1
